Document Services

Prairie Legal Services is not a mobile Notary Public or Commissioner for Oaths service. Prairie Legal Services does however offer these services on a non-urgent scheduled appointment basis. In general, a Notary Public signs and seals documents leaving the province and a Commissioner for Oaths signs documents remaining in Manitoba. We offer both of these services and can meet your document needs under the Manitoba Evidence Act.

Examples of documents that may require authentication by a Notary Public include:

  • Birth Certificates
  • Marriage or divorce certificates
  • Proof of non-marriage
  • Powers of attorney
  • Invitation to visit
  • Degrees or student transcripts
  • International business contracts
  • Adoption papers
  • Consent Letter to travel with child

Please contact us to explain your needs and we will determine our ability to accommodate them.
