Carli Owens
Carli Owens was born and raised in the RM of Portage la Prairie. She attended Acadia University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science and later graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Law. Carli returned to Manitoba to live and work beginning her legal career as a Crown Attorney for Manitoba Prosecution Service. Carli prosecuted in the Stonewall, Morden, Carman, Portage la Prairie, Sandy Bay, and Amaranth areas.
After a decade of public service, Carli changed disciplines to work for a large general practice firm in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, regulatory offences, and municipal law. She has appeared countless times in Manitoba’s Provincial Court and Court of Queen’s Bench. Carli is a former president of the Manitoba Bar Association and active in the legal community.
